Project Gutenberg provides downloadable text files of works in the public domain. Many classic Science Fiction novels, novellas, and short stories are available here.
Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America
A professional organization for writers of both SF and Fantasy. They sponsor the prestigious Nebula Awards and maintain AboutSF, a joint project between the SFWA and the Science Fiction Research Association.
Locus Online
Also available in print, Locus Magazine has information on new Sci Fi books, reviews, commentary, author interviews, and its own comprehensive links portal for further research.
The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction
This website is a beta version of the Third Edition; older editions are available in print, although they are not nearly as up to date. A reference guide, its entries are categorized by both common headings (Authors, Awards, Artists, Film, etc.), and more unusual ones like Themes, Terminology, Fanzines, and Characters.
SF Signal
A 2012 Hugo Award nominee for bestfanzine and best fancast, SF Signal is a blog primarily dedicated to reviewing Sci Fi books, but also posts movie reviews, videos of interest, author interviews, SF podcasts, and promotes relevant events.

Internet Speculative Fiction Database
The ISFDB is a comprehensive database for SF, fantasy and horror. It maintains a wiki, bibliographic information on all its entries (including series, omnibuses, nonfiction, and fanzines), and a Top 100 list voted on by users.
Tor.com
Bringing together both professionals and fandom, Tor.com differs from many SF blogs in that it offers original short stories, sequential art, and art galleries from its users, in addition to standard reviews and essays.
Uchronia: The Alternate History List
An Alternate History centric website with bibliographic information for over 3,000 series, anthologies, and stand-alone works, as well as links to reference works and articles.
